Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Support Worker to support the team of Support workers and report into the Registered Manager. This well-established care provider is looking for a hands-on Residential Senior Support Worker with strong supervisory skills looking for the opportunity to progress. The service is an Ofsted ‘Good’ registered independent children’s home offering residential care and support to children aged 8-17 years with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties set in a beautiful rural location. Senior Support Worker Key Responsibilities – Supervising a team of staff and helping to managing the service in the absence of the Deputy or Registered Manager Promoting independence in the home, developing domestic skills and expanding our children’s and young adult’s personal life skills Organising and participating in a variety of on-site and off-site activities Leading by example by working with and managing challenging behaviour Documenting all children’s activities, reporting and recording key aspects of their care Senior Support Worker Requirements - Have experience working at a senior level NVQ level 3 in either Health and social care/residential childcare/ or Children’s and Young Peoples workforce.
