Rutherford Briant are currently recruiting for an Audit Manager to join a Top 100 accountancy firm based in Loughton. This firm are looking for a talented, driven, ambitious and qualified manager to join their successful team. Responsibilities: Planning jobs and contact clients to remind them when preparation work is due. Liaising/meeting with the client to consider both their needs and the key areas relating to the audit or other assignment. Liaising with the appropriate Tax Manager before the assignment commences to ensure that any tax related matters affecting the audit are known and advising him/her when the assignment will be ready for a tax review. Arranging for the appropriate staff to be available and managing the team from Audit Seniors to Trainees. Managing the assignment as it proceeds, delegating and reviewing work of staff to ensure that standards are met. Providing timely feedback to partners on issues identified with clients and presenting to the Partner a complete audit assignment file. Put through final adjustments to the accounts where a more junior member of staff is not available and prepare final accounts to send to clients. Carry out other tasks for clients, such as special assignments, e.g. projections, incorporations, bookkeeping and management accounts etc. Liaising with Tax Managers with respect to the tax computations, planning, reconstructions etc. Ensure end of job assignments, probationary reviews and annual appraisals carried out on time. Assist with recruitment of new team members, including graduate recruitment where required. Required Skills / Qualifications The Audit Manager will be a qualified ACA/ACCA with good technical competence. As an Audit Manager you must have proven experience of managing a client portfolio and strong people management skills. Reward and Benefits In return, the firm will pay a leading regional salary based on experience and great benefits package to match. The firm offer all employees 5 weeks holiday per calendar year. Full time employees receive 25 days which increases after 6 years of service with the firm, each year to a maximum of 30 days per year. Plus paid bank and Public Holidays. This is pro-rated in the usual way for new joiners and part time staff. The normal office hours are 9am to 5.30pm, however the organisation operates (where practicably possible) a flexible working arrangement so that staff can work flexible to complete 7.5 hours a day ensuring that they are working the office core hours are 10am to 4pm.
