Overview
Our client in South Molton are seeking a bright and enthusiastic individual to join their Electrical Engineering Team. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the safe maintenance; repair or replacement in parts of plant, equipment and systems to also ensure the equipment and plant remains operational. You will be completing fault finding and maintenance repair works to help reduce the downtime of the plant and to increase the output. Key Responsibilities Heavy involvement in planned preventative and predicative maintenance techniques. Ensure work is completed in a safe and timely manner in line with plant expectations. Investigate electrical plant faults, diagnose and rectify defects. Ability to work under pressure and maintain a consistently high level of performance. Ability to investigate, understand and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Provide out of hours support where required. Ensuring all electrical engineering activities within area of responsibility are completed in full compliance with all statutory regulations and site HS&E standards, policies and procedures. Person Specification Time served Electrician. Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. A relevant further high level qualification is also desirable. Experience with PLCs, single phase and three phase drive systems. Ability to read electrical circuit drawings and fault find in electrical panels. The role requires the individual to be physically fit, capable of working at heights and in confined spaces. A 'Hands-on' individual, with a positive 'can-do' approach to your ensuring Engineering standards are achieved and maintained. Good IT Skills are required. Technical expertise to read electrical drawings and fault find. Strong people and communication skills. Full UK driving licence.
