This organisation is a dynamic charity working to ensure every child is in school ready to learn. For over 30 years it has been working with children and young people struggling to stay in school due to a wide range of complex issues. They get children and young people back in school ready to learn, whatever it takes. Through a mixture of growth and staff turnover they now require the following post: School-Home Support Practitioner An AP Academy in Thurrock Full time role, 5 days per week (Term time only) Salary from: £22,901 FTE pa depending on experience This AP Academy is a unique facility in Thurrock. This academy is Thurrock's educational Alternative Provision for secondary aged children and young people. You will work in close partnership with the setting. With a focus on improving and administering attendance, your role will also require you to deliver a programme of casework to promote educational outcomes, positive behaviour and supporting parents in their homes. This is an exciting role and the successful candidate will have good experience of working effectively with social and emotional factors affecting a child's capacity to learn, strong abilities in engaging challenging children and their parents, and a confident ability to form professional partnerships within the setting and with other agencies.
