Senior Finance Manager
Overview
The Senior Finance Manager will provide maternity cover and manage a team of two to look after all: Central overheads accounting Provide a full month end actual, budgeting and forecasting service to the division and prepare final numbers for month end, respond to month end queries. Respond to month end queries. Lead improvements in reporting and forecastKey elements of the role will Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue and costs. Ensure that accruals are in the correct legal entity eg bonus accruals. Ensure all SOX controls are carried out to a good standard Fully engaged to work with the rest of the finance team, providing business partnering, accounting advice and support as appropriate to the business. To assist the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis with any additional work required Implementing finance process improvements. The ideal candidate will be: Fully qualified through one of the recognised accountancy bodies with proven PQE within finance. A positive and organised approach and deadline orientated. A broad range of communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with senior organisational decision makers and within the team. A candidate who looks for continual improvement and is able to demonstrate a track record of process improvement and challenging existing ways of working. "Can do" attitude and willingness to go the extra mile. Experience on appropriate accounting software packages (experience of Hyperion an advantage) with excellent Excel skills. Clear communication skills to be able to explain variances and identify/quantify if they are one-off, timing or permanent etc. Ability to multi task effectively with a range of tasks and priorities.
