Overview

Our Client is a leading electronic manufacturing business based in the North East of England. The company currently require a talented Quality Technician to join the business. Purpose of the Role : To assist the Quality Engineer with ensuring product quality and monitoring manufacturing & test processes within the company. Responsible for final testing of finished products and general quality control within the assembly area and warehouse and produce quality records such as test reports. Daily monitoring and reporting of issues within production and warehousing. Key Responsibilities: To ensure the Quality Management System is maintained to a standard that meets internal, customer and regulatory requirements. To participate in the systems review and continuous improvement to ensure it continues to be fit for purpose. In process inspection of production lots. Post-production inspection of OEM products, including dimensional, electrical, capacity testing. Performance product inspection patrols to ensure good product quality is achieved throughout the manufacturing process. Perform customer inspections as required. Maintenance and planning of all site calibration for products. Recording and Reporting of all product inspection activities for use in the product release process. Back-up to warehouse based incoming goods inspection activities. Promotion of quality principles throughout the production process. Ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2015 throughout the production process. Liaising with Production, Customer Services, Purchasing and Warehouse Departments to ensure the customer order delivery process in supported. Deputise for the Quality Engineer as required. Skills Required: Previous experience of working as a quality technician. Ideally have a background in electronic manufacturing A proactive, enthusiastic individual who is self- motivated and can work unsupervised for periods of time and as part of a team. Ability to work to deadlines to support the release of orders for customer shipments. Ability to use a number of measuring devices and equipment - meters, gauges, etc. Good communication skills. Problem solving skills and uses initiative to focus on achieving results. Computer literacy including the used of Microsoft Word and Excel.
