Overview

I am delighted to be working for a very valued client of mine, an Educational Charity Trust, who are committed to enriching the lives and transforming the futures for children. The successful candidate will lead on the implementation of the recruitment strategy and recruitment initiatives across the Trust. This role is a full time role - working term time only. The purpose of the role: To provide independently within the remit of the role an effective, efficient and business-focussed service including resourcing, talent management, succession planning apprenticeship as well as training and development management. Key Accountabilities of the role: Be the first point of call for all incoming recruitment, apprenticeship and training queries across the Trust and respond to them accordingly Lead independently across the Trust on the entire staff recruitment process including updating job descriptions and person specifications, advertising, sending out application forms, shortlisting and arranging interviews Ensure that safer recruitment practices are adhered to and check references Ensure that proof of right to work and DBS checks are carried out Ensure that DBS risk assessments are completed With the support of the HR Assistant, ensure that conditional offer letters and contracts are issued Ensure that the necessary personnel forms relating to interviews and appointments are completed by the relevant managers Be part of the recruitment panel Monitor trust wide recruitment and selection processes Manage the recruitment contracts with external providers Contribute to the HR report for the Board Lead and organise apprenticeships in line with the apprenticeship levy Manage the Trust apprenticeship levy Develop and manage the programme for young apprentices Organise and book staff training Source staff training programmes Key Experience and Knowledge for the role: Educated to GCSE Level A-C or equivalent in English and Maths Diploma in HR Management or working towards it An excellent understanding of recruitment processes and strategies Considerable experience of leading and managing recruitment processes and campaigns Substantial experience in writing and implementing business focussed recruitment policies A proven track record of leading apprenticeships and staff training Excellent knowledge of Equal Opportunities Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience of working in an education setting would be desirable If this role has caught your attention and you would like further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Kate Parker.
