Overview
Senior Data Engineer - remote working London - current working from home Up to £90,000 (depending on experience) I am looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join one of the best funded companies in London. They have achieved over £900 million funding across various funding rounds and are now in a high growth phase. Data is at the heart of the business and they are currently operating at multi-Petabyte scale. The company: This company were founded just over 10 years ago as they recognised a gap in the online clothing industry - they have build an online marketplace which is widely used across the globe (operating in nearly 200 countries). 80% of the companies data comes from their event driven system for their website/app and they are currently processing 5 petabytes of data using Python, SQL, GCP, Kafka etc. The team is a mix of infrastructure focused data engineers and data engineers who are skilled in data modelling and data pipelining. The role: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will: Design and build scalable and reliable data pipelines for the data platform (Python, SQL, GCP) Constantly evolve the data estate and data infrastructure Work cross functionally with various teams across the business (data science, marketing etc) Be a keen contributor to a high quality, customer focused data team. Your Skills and Experiences: Have extensive experience in Python and SQL Have experience building and maintaining data pipelines (Python, SQL) Have experience productionising code Have extensive experience working in a cloud environment - ideally GCP but AWS is also fine Have experience with continuous delivery pipelines - version control, unit testing etc How to apply: Please register your interest by sending you CV to Joshua Carter via the apply link on this page
