Overview

We have two exciting roles within the organisation delivering the successful Housing First Model to some of the most vulnerable rough sleepers in the London Boroughs of Newham and Redbridge (Ilford, Essex). Housing First is an innovative approach, proven to successfully support people with repeat histories of homelessness and who experience multiple disadvantages into independent and stable accommodation. Once housed, they are provided with the supportive services and connections to community-based support, to help them sustain their housing and avoid returning to homelessness We are looking for a highly experienced worker who has worked with rough sleepers and vulnerable adults, who has knowledge of lone working practices and working with individuals have complex needs and is able to work in a creative and person centred approach. Ideally we want someone who also has knowledge of Housing First (if even it's the basic knowledge around the model) but we want them to be able to demonstrate that knowledge to us. Finally we also want someone who has knowledge of the housing and the welfare benefits system and is able to provide examples of how they may of worked with individuals who require support in this area. The ideal person would of worked in the sector maybe a senior role beforehand or at least have considerable years of experiences as a project or floating support worker and therefore is able to in a position to take the next step in their career.
