Overview
Senior Speech and Language Therapist - London - Full Time - Permanent - up to £36,000 per annum benefits Due to recent unprecedented growth, I am seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join a leading care provider in London. Providing high quality Community Residential and Supported Living Services for Adults with learning disabilities and mental health, they provide in-patient support and rehabilitation on a one-to-one basis. You will be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, with HCPC registration and membership with the RCSLT. Dysphagia training is essential. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and be responsible for the delivery of effective Speech and Language Therapy services for vulnerable adults. You will also assist the Clinical Lead in delivering training programmes in order to ensure competency in working with patients who have communication and/or swallowing difficulties. Your responsibilities will include: - Working autonomously across services delivering client programmes and adhering to local and national professional standards whilst keeping the Lead SLT informed. - Delegating an appropriate caseload and providing clinical and operational supervision to SLT Assistant's. - Providing evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development. - Contributing towards the training of other staff. - Contributing to the high standards of person-centred care provided. - Utilise skills to effectively assess, treat and provide on-going evaluation and support of clients.
