Applications Engineer £45k to £55k car allowance Salary is dependent on experience Are you someone who can create entire solutions to client problems? Do you have a strong background in the automation, special purpose machinery, conveyor or material handling industries? We are working with one of the largest and most impressive bespoke automation and materials handling companies with sites across the UK, we are looking for a number of mechanical, electrical or controls biased applications engineers to join their teams based at their West Midlands or Bedfordshire sites. With 4 mains areas of business, automotive, aerospace, automation and general applications, you will have a unique opportunity to work within a cross functional team to create solutions for a variety of engineering applications. To be considered for this applications engineer opportunity, you will need the following: Either time served or degree educated Mechanical Electrical / Controls Engineer Strong understanding of automation, materials handling, robotics, baggage handling or machinery solutions Highly organised & Self Motivated Experience with 2D or 3D CAD Packages Good Commercial awareness Able to clearly communicate with clients and other teams within the business The successful applications engineer will be responsible for: Creating highly technical solutions for bespoke applications from initial concept Produce proposals and tendering documentation Working closely with the Business Development Manager and sales team Risk Identification and Mitigation Visiting clients when Required Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for an experienced candidate with a strong understanding of engineering solutions.
