Programme Delivery Manager
Overview
Role Profile: Key Objectives: The Programme Delivery Manager will be responsible for cost management of the Projects & Schemes and Service Operations Business Units, and the successful rollout of Transformation delivery elements - including CCTV, Core Fibre and Wireless. The Programme Delivery Manager will be required to have an excellent understanding of financial and commercial processes, experience of P&L management and should also understand the nature of project delivery of telecoms capital works. Responsibilities include: Delivery of critical BaU projects including the Planning, Project Management, and Cost Management of the same; Responsible for the performance management of the Project Managers associated with the critical BaU projects Management of the Delivery teams for the equipment roll-out of the CCTV, Core and Wireless Transformation Projects; Management of the Planning and Programme function for Projects & Schemes; Deputise for the Head of Project Delivery as and when required; Cost management is closely controlled to ensure utilisation of team members and Subcontractor spend is monitored and also challenged where required; Management of the Quantity Surveying teams for NRTS BaU (Project Delivery and Service Operations) ensuring Commercial governance and compliance. Typical Deliverables : Successful delivery of critical BaU Projects, both with programme timescales and profitability; Strict management of forecast Vs delivery; Responsible for the P&L governance and management for Projects and Schemes and Service Operations Business Units. Seek continuous improvement of processes any constraints to identify opportunities for introduction of new and innovative solutions; Ensure consistency in standards and processes across all areas; Communicate with Project Management team to ensure delays and changes to works can be resourced and costed accurately; Manage and maintain robust handovers between Transformation and BaU; Identify initiatives within the organisation to continually improve the operations performance, the quality of delivery, and our focus on the health and safety practices in the environment we work in; Problem Solve and if required escalate risks and issues; Programme management of the Transformation Roll-Out projects and Schemes FSoC; Business Operations Skills - Experience: Ability to work in a cross functional / matrix environment; Excellent team working skills; Collaborative approach to working internally and with other stakeholders; Ability to work under pressure; Financial and commercial awareness; Exposure to LEAN principles and Business Improvement; Experience of delivery in the Transport sector Risk management and mitigation Behavioural Requirements: Flexibility Commitment Strong Management skill Positive approach telent is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to diversity and inclusion This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89889801
