FrontEnd Web Developer Derby, UK Education, Qualifications & Experience: (Essential) •HTML/HTML5 •CSS/CSS3 •JavaScript/JavaScript Frameworks •Proven track record for delivering excellent UX and UI •Strong problem-solving skills •Ability to identify risks and impact in applying a change to existing products (Desirable) •Kendo UI •Microsoft C# / .NET Framework •MVC •Visual Studio 2017/2019 •Agile processes •Azure DevOps (TFS) This person will join a development team within a dynamic, friendly business based in Derby. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining web UI’s in order to build and enhance existing software functionality, collaborating with the development team to deliver to agreed timescales and standards. Key Accountabilities: •Enhance and expand existing software functionality, working from either technical specifications or understanding of User Stories; Delivering appropriately commented and tested features, to defined design and coding standards, and in a timely manner. •Develop working prototypes and proofs of concept based upon user requirements and legacy system functionality. •Investigate issues reported with the software to confirm the fault is genuine and subsequently modify the software to rectify the fault. •Adhere to relevant company and departmental development processes and procedures. •Assist in the definition and evolution of design standards as is necessary. •Share expertise and collaborate with other product teams to facilitate cross-team working and resolution of issues as appropriate. •Provide outline notes of any modifications made, to aid understanding by QA and Support and to be incorporated into the software documentation. •Report progress at regular intervals. •Communicate with various level of the business in a professional, clear and appropriate manner; Building and maintaining working relationships with key business users. •Proactively improve existing skills, taking on new technical skills as appropriate, and continuously seek to expand business knowledge.
