Overview

Transactional Finance Analyst - Manchester Role Reporting into the Transactions Support Manager, the primary responsibility is to act as the point of reference, for issues relating to the transactional delivery of OTC, PTP and Cash and Banking. The Transactional Finance Analyst will be tasked with managing the flow of work using effective business techniques, observing all key business controls, to ensure all work completed under the remit is 'right first time' Responsibilities Performance Delivery Support the Transactions processes efficiently and effectively to ensure all SLA's and KPI's are met Manage & review the Financial controls and compliance. Review current SAP segregation issues and manage segregation issues around future access requests Monthly review & release of accrual consignment Design and maintain schedule of periodic vendor statements reconciliations Support Transactions Support manager in production of monthly reporting performance pack and analysis Support Transactions manager during internal and external audit Manage incoming requests through workflow and schedules activities appropriately Champions customer service in all the process areas Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with external counterparts, other Transactional Teams, external suppliers, internal customers and business partners Operate and ensure efficiency of monthly internal financial and operational controls Process Management and Improvement Operate effective process management, ensuring bottlenecks are addressed and work appropriately balanced (e.g. through effective LEAN techniques). Operate key business controls so that all work completed under remit is 'right first time' Seek to improve current processes Develop and deliver training material for the on-boarding of any new processes. Seek to develop understanding of SAP in order to identify standardisation opportunities across the Group. Develop process maps and process documentation for functional area. Candidate Profile Essential Preferably part or qualified to AAT or equivalent Office IT literate, with advanced MS Excel skills Desirable SAP Experience Experience using LEAN techniques Experience presenting Can communicates at all levels clearly, listens and involves others in direction and goal setting. Builds effective relationships with people at all levels, while motivating and energising others. Can plan for and successfully introduces change leading to improvements. Driven and self-motivated to achieve success with others, operates as an example for others. Use resources effectively, with a clear focus on critical tasks and the achievement of objectives.
