Overview

Service Director - Telecoms Networks Salary £90,000 base plus bonus, health / benefits. Based in Central London The Opportunity Would you like to get involved in on of the most exciting programme of works in the UK that is going to revolutionise the daily lives of commuters in London? This project is to roll out 4G mobile connectivity across the underground sections of the London Underground network and while platform access is available for Wi-Fi at the moment, this network build and deployment programme will allow that access to data when on the move in the tunnels so is one of the biggest commuting game changers for many a year. This role is working for the client and network owner. The Role You'll be the Service Director and will lead, develop and own the customer service management experience, building an effective relationship as an inclusive partner with TfL & the Emergency Services Networks that will be using some of the network. Reporting to the COO, you'll have overall accountability for the service delivery and management function and in this highly customer facing role, you'll be the senior interface between the business, the government, TFL and also the partners engaged on the build / service by way of expectation and performance. This role will support the Operations Team and determine how customers are kept informed of their service's performance, acting as the conduit of into the business and partnering with our account management team to deliver a best in class technology solution and associated service, This is going to be a rapid ramp up and you'll be joining the multi-year / multi-million value project before the go live date so structure, process and agreements need to be in place - there isn't going to be a huge amount of leeway when it comes to delivery meaning everything needs to go as smooth as possible when it comes to the measurement of service and structuring of KPI's - likely in line with an ITIL model. Who are you? A senior level telecoms network professional, ideally from a mobile network or Service Provider background. Experience of working on and around projects associated with rail, TFL or LUL a distinct advantage and specifically by way of engineering or technology projects into that sector. ISO20001 Service Management knowledge ITIL V3 Foundation as a minimum ITIL Service Management This is going to be a rapid growth, scale up business that has the advantage of being able to call upon a proven track record by way of similar projects across the World - however, that ability to play a major part in building and shaping your function quickly is going to be paramount. While it isn't strictly essential that you have built a function from scratch previously, the ability to keep a cool head in a rapid deployment, project environment would be essential but that equals a lot of opportunity in our opinion to really influence moving forward.
