The Coal Authority has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Permitting and Licensing Manager to join the team based in Mansfield on a full time, permanent basis in return for a competitive salary of £15,369 - £19,858 per annum . The Apprentice Permitting and Licensing Manager role: Working alongside a dynamic team who manage access into our underground property, you will support on the management of external communications with the general public, assist with the team’s record keeping, for example the review of received geotechnical data and reports, and assist in the organisation and recording of the team’s business activities. We’re partnering with Nottingham Trent University to deliver this role via a 5 year part-time BEng Civil Engineering degree course, involving 1 day per week off-site at University. This means you’ll be working towards gaining a professional (CEng) qualification alongside your employment with us. Responsibilities of our Apprentice Permitting and Licensing Manager: - Support the delivery of the Permitting and Licensing function in an administrative capacity - Deliver the administrative function of the permitting and Licensing process - Liaise with customers on permit and Licensing applications - Take customer payments from permit and Licensing applications - Provide administrative support to team meetings - Issue KPI’s from the permit and Licensing process - Ordering of mining reports etc in association with permit and Licensing work - Assist with site visits - Undertake a programme of study with a relevant degree apprenticeship provider - Provide support to the progression of research and development What we’re looking for in our Apprentice Permitting and Licensing Manager: We’re looking for an individual with a strong commitment to pursuing a career in construction as a Chartered Engineer. This could be your first step on the career ladder or an opportunity for you to professionally develop within the industry. You’ll have strong organisational, communication and ICT skills. A methodical approach to work and mature outlook. Previous work experience (preferred). We’re looking for someone with current (or predicted) qualifications which meet the entry requirements of Nottingham Trent University for the degree course; - A-levels – BBB (including maths); or - BTEC Extended Diploma – DDM; or - 120 UCAS Tariff points from three A-levels or equivalent qualifications (with merits in Maths units); and GCSE’s – - English and Maths grade C / 4.
