Overview
This is a advanced management accountant role for 12 months cover maternity leave. In this role you will be required to liaise with other members of the finance team and work on numerous projects. Client Details My client are a market leading business based in Potters Bar. They have a large finance team which is growing. Description The responsibilities for this Management Accountant role are: Support the GMAT in the production of accurate and timely management accounts. This will include supporting the month-end close process Liaising with the Payroll team to ensure that all relevant costs are captured for the month and that staff are allocated to the correct cost centres Assisting with month-end accruals processes including payroll accruals Reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts including payroll and prepayments Maintaining clear and complete records and schedules Ensuring information is received in a timely manner from the relevant facilities Support investigatory efforts to provide clear and adequately detailed commentaries on the Group's performance Liaise with the Commercial Finance and budget holders to ensure costs are accurately reflected Provide clear and relevant supplementary reports on analytical variances as required Ensure the quality control of financial transactions processed, particularly in relation invoices posted by the Accounts Payable team and payroll models Support the Head of Management Accounts and Finance Manager in documenting business processes in order to maintain and strengthen internal controls across the Group Provide sound rationale for improvement ideas, explaining potential benefits in a manner that gains buy-in Promote a culture of process improvement through liaising with internal stakeholders, particularly Payroll, Accounts Payable and Commercial Finance Assist in the development and documentation of appropriate procedures, automating processes where possible Support the Head of Management Accounts and Finance Manager in projects geared towards streamlining processes Assist both the GMAT and Financial Accounts teams in resolving September 2020 year end Profile The successful candidate must be immediately available and are studying ACCA/CIMA.
