SEN Primary school seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to start in September on a 1 year contract. Your new company This primary school is based in the Wigan area and due to an upcoming maternity leave, the school has approached Hays seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2020 on a 1 year contract. Working in this school is extremely rewarding as you will be working with SEN pupils on a daily basis, supporting them in their learning and development and will be working alongside well established staff. Furthermore, the school is easily accessible via both the M6 and M58 motorway. Your new role Joining the school in September, you will be responsible for providing 1:1 support to a year 5 pupil and this will be both in the classroom and during break times or on school trips etc. You will work closely with the class teacher to ensure that the pupil is fully supported and that all work is accessible, as well ensuring that the pupil is progressing well. You will become part of a team of teaching assistants and therefore will receive a warm welcome and will also have significant support in school throughout the academic year. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this position, you will have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant ideally working in a SEN school previously. You will be available to start in September and commit to a full academic year, providing a high level of support.
