Surgical Nurse Post-Operative Care Birmingham, West Midlands £27,500 per annum Remit Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a group of leading surgical hospitals who have joined forces with the NHS in the fight against COVID-19 To help ease the burden on the NHS, the hospital has agreed to take all non-urgent surgical patients to carry out minor surgical procedures, ensuring they get the care they need in a safe environment. With the contract still in negotiation stages, the patients who are referred will be extremely varied from removal of hernias, gynaecology, orthopaedics, repairs of cuts or small wounds, removal of warts, haemorrhoids or abscesses so you will need to feel comfortable working across all minor surgery The Candidate Our client is looking for a qualified Nurse who have previous experience in a surgical arena. You will be expected to provide post-operative care to all patient who have undergone minor surgery to prevent complications such as infection and to promote the healing of the surgical incision and return the patient to a state of health Should you not have the surgical experience but it's an area you have always wanted to get into, then full training will be provided so it is desirable and not essential.
