CNC Miller Ely, Cambridgeshire £32,000 - £33,500 Company Profile A forward thinking, progressive precision engineering company who have experienced 150% growth year on year and have had record months recently. They are now looking to recruit due to further growth and investment in a larger workshop. You will be working in a friendly team of highly experienced engineers who receive on-going training and development. Job Profile As the successful CNC Miller you will be working alongside a team of highly skilled machinists, reporting to the Production Manager and experience working on a wide range of components and projects for various industry sectors. Duties · Programming, setting and operating CNC Milling machines to manufacture precision metal and plastic components to customer’s specifications · Working with 3axis CNC Mills with Fanuc and / or Haas controls (G and M codes) · Producing components from engineering drawings through to completion of final article · Working with a variety of materials ranging from Stainless Steels, Mild Steels, Aluminium and Brass (no Titanium, Inconel, Duplex or anything else too exotic) · One offs to 100s off batch runs Skills & Experience · Able to interpret detailed engineering drawings · Competent use of Fanuc / Haas controls · Good understanding of G and M code programming · CADCAM experience would be a distinct advantage · Knowledge of machining materials such as stainless steels, steels, aluminium, brass, copper and various plastics · Capable of contributing to root cause analysis and front-line problem solving, to support continuous improvement of plant performance · Competent in the use of hand-held measuring equipment Hours · 40hrs per week · 08.00 – 17.00 Monday – Thursday, Friday 08.00 – 14.00 · £15.00 - £16.00 per hour · 24 days holiday bank holidays · Overtime is available and paid at x1.5hrs after 40hrs per week & Saturdays Key Skills CNC, Machinist, Machining, Machine Shop, Precision Engineer, Precision Engineering, Mill, Miller, Milling, Program, Programmer, Programming, Set, Setter, Setting, Operate, Operator, Operating, Fanuc, Haas, G codes, G coding, M codes, M coding
