Overview
If you are a CNC Miller Setter or Operator looking for permanent day-shift role, this full-time, flexible job could be the one for you. The machinist role would suit a precision engineer with experience of working in a high-precision workshop, or you may have served an apprenticeship. You'll need to within a commutable distance to Ely in Cambridgeshire. The CNC Miller Setter role: You will be required to run multiple machines to maximise productivity and efficiencies. You'll be confident working on your initiative and with minimal supervision. Applicants must have experience of all aspects of setting and operating CNC machining centres including reading and fully understanding engineering drawings and the use of precision measuring equipment. Programming experience would advantageous as we would be willing to train the right applicant to improve their programming skills. Qualifications: It would be beneficial if you have machined a wide range of materials including stainless, aluminium, mild steel, brass and plastics. You must be familiar with using Fanuc controls and be able to work to tight deadlines, with a keen eye for detail to produce high-quality work.
