Technical Fleet Controller Basingstoke Salary £28,000 - £31,000 (Plus bonus benefits) Responsibilities Proactively managing the day-to-day provision of cost effective vehicle control and maintenance, to ensure maximum cost reductions and efficiencies are made in line with budgetary requirements. Working in close cooperation with the Fleet Engineering Managers and other departments, to manage the engineering and maintenance cycle to minimise vehicle fleet downtime, ensuring vehicle availability and a high standard of Customer service is delivered at all times. The role Ensuring that all repairs are duly authorised before the supplier commences work and all details are entered on to SAP When authorising repairs the maintenance history on the vehicle is checked thoroughly for any parts warranty/warranty/rework, recharge or policy entitlement that can be claimed Ensuring that the supplier complies with the Rental Solutions Supplier Service Agreement/Authority Procedure with regard to the timing and authorising of startup, updates and final repair costs, making sure details of all conversations are recorded against each relevant job in SAP Making sure all repairs carried out are executed in a timely and cost effective manner with minimum disruption to the Customer and constant communication is made with both parties through to work completion Ensuring that all costs are accurately accrued on SAP, noting all savings made and that if final supplier invoice costs do not match the accrued/authorised value, they are queried and the relevant notes showing the outcome/savings made are noted within SAP Where necessary source cost effective new and used parts to assist suppliers and alleviate vehicle downtime.
