Job Title: Stores Operative – Railway Depot Location: Brighton, East Sussex Duration: Initial contract length until May 2020 Interviews/Start date: Interviews and immediate start available Wanted We have an urgent requirement for an experienced stores operative who has experience of goods in / goods out and stores management to work for one of the UK’s leading train operating companies. ATA are currently working with a recognised leader in the rail sector who has operations across three rail franchises within the UK and has an ever-growing presence within the industry. The Candidate: Are you smart, savvy and enjoy the responsibility of organisation? You will have experience of goods in / goods out, stores management and understanding the importance of good database management to ensure actual control of stock. The Role: Up for a challenge? Great, lets tell you about the role Your sole responsibility will be to ensure correct stock is issued to the Fitters and Technicians who work in an engineering environment and require materials to carry out work on vehicles and recording of deliveries being delivered to the warehouse. Requirements: If you’re loving the sound of this, here’s what you need to be Mr or Mrs. right for the role Experience of working in a warehouse or stores environment. Ability to record deliveries, competent at issuing of stock and control of stock, goods in and goods out ability. Good computer skills, a valid Forklift Truck License, driver’s license (ideal but not essential) and flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns ranging from days, late afternoon, nights and weekends The first 2 – 3 weeks of work will be on the standard day shift as part of the settling in period.
