Overview

Senior Project Manager - Digital Transformation Up to £90,000 per annum South London I am currently working with a top 15 insurance firm looking to break into the top 5 through a massive Digital Transformation programme. They see the transformation of their digital infrastructure as being central into breaking into the top 5 insurance companies around The UK and as such this has a high priority status internally. As part of this transformation they will be looking to hire a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for; establishing & maintaining a portfolio of projects supporting the PMO implementation of major business change, tactical and strategic change; implement projects of £50,000 to £3,000,000 with benefits of over £50,000; define and own end-to-end delivery of Project Plan. Scope: To establish and maintain a portfolio of projects in order to support the PMO implementation of major business, tactical and strategic change into operational areas. To successfully manage and implement projects that typically may have: External costs in the £50,000 to £3,000,000 and upwards range Benefits of over £50,000 Range between 3 months and 18 months in duration Have high levels of internal and some external dependencies. Work cross-functionally for the Business Accountable Executive and be the primary responsible person for delivering assigned projects. Define and own the end to end delivery of the Project Plan. Define deliverables required to support the delivery of assigned projects (against time & costs constraints) Coordination and management of external suppliers where appropriate. Process improvements, governance and the ongoing strategic enhancement of the capability and outputs of the PMO Creation of virtual project team (per project) comprising internal & external staff, suppliers and to set direction for the team. Responsible for managing and delivery of central projects 'from cradle to grave'. Mentorship of PMO members Must have advanced skills / knowledge of: Stakeholder management Monitoring and reporting Advanced planning ability Problem-detection, solving and trouble-shooting skills Strong communication skills Facilitation and workshop's Proven budget control skills External supplier management At least 5 year's project management experience Personally managed 6 significant projects successfully involving a large amount of systems, business and technical changes including product development Ability to manage multiple projects / work streams simultaneously Cross-functional multi-tasked projects, managing internal and external relationships Knowledge of project management processes and techniques from a varied background Advanced knowledge of sources of project complexity Relevant project management qualifications or training in both PRINCE II and AGILE (Scrum ideally) Supplier management: o Management of 3rd parties / delivery of work to deadline o Developing strong working relationships with suppliers Ability to prepare business case documents Qualifications: A level qualification(s) GCSE passes (A-C) (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
