Junior Buyer Position at a Leading Fashion Retailer Job Title Senior Assistant Buyer - Footwear Location(s) London Salary Up to £30,000 Job Type Permanent Posted 13/03/2020 Consultant Albert Chen Permanent Senior Assistant Buyer positions within Own Brand Footwear department in a prominent, high profile, progressive Fashion Retailer have arisen, and require a driven, motivated and commercially aware buying professional to add value to an already skilled team. Your Next Position As a Junior Buyer, you will be be responsible for managing the department's critical path to a high level of accuracy with the assistance of the department BAA. Placing orders as requested by the buyer, negotiating cost prices, achieving margin requirements, ensuring delivery dates are met and that all samples are received and fitted so that the critical path runs smoothly. Other key responsibilities include: Works within the agreed operating standards of the department and proactively seeks to improve own and departments performance Build excellent working relationships with the Buying and Merchandising team within your department and across the buying floor. Strong relationships with external suppliers within the UK and abroad are also paramount Has a good understanding of ways to maximise commercial opportunities and minimise areas of risk.
