Overview
Hydraulic Modeller - Required for our client, a leading consultancy within the Civil & Structural Engineering sector on a permanent basis to join their team in their Birmingham offices. The Hydraulic Modeller will be working with the Planning Team and both environmental and transportation Consultants to provide a wide range of development services for both greenfield and brownfield sites. This company provides a multi-disciplinary consultancy service on a wide range of infrastructure, regeneration and development projects throughout the UK. Our client has an impressive track record of providing leading edge advice on some of the most challenging and large scale projects across the UK. Hydraulic Modeller Position Overview Hydrological analysis using Flood Estimation Handbook techniques Flood Risk Assessment tasks, Completion of reports. Hydrology, Watercourse Hydraulic Modelling. Environmental Impact Assessment inputs. Environmental Agency negotiation and flood map challenge experience preferred. Flood Risk Assessments and hydraulic modelling, Working towards the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). Using Hydraulic modelling in 1D/2D software packages such as Hec-Ras, Flood Modeler Pro, Innovyze ICM and TUFLOW. Hydraulic Modeller Position Requirements Experience in drainage strategy and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) is desirable. Providing solutions to technical problems and input to provide factual and interpretive reports Software packages, such as ReFH and WINFAP Experience using Flood Modeler Pro and TUFLOW, together with good understanding of SuDS design.
