Overview
Tailor Made Sourcing ltd are delighted to be exclusively recruiting on behalf of a well-established, growing Manufacturing and Distribution company based in Worsley. Our family run client predominantly sells into the European Market. We are recruiting for an experienced Buyer with a strong background in Manufacturing and Production, working within a fast-moving industry. You will be supporting the Operations and the Supply Chain Manager to develop the business strategy. The successful candidate will have experience in buying and sourcing copper and new products to meet business objectives whilst working with Excel and MRP software to compliment the process. Roles and responsibilities: Support the Operations and Supply Chain Manager to develop the business strategy for innovation of new product lines to meet business objectives Ensure continuous improvements to reduce the costs of materials and goods Project management to support the business functions Order placement and expediting Supplier contract and negotiations Risk management; ensuring continuity of supply or products and competitor strategy Identify and develop existing supplier and new supplier opportunities Develop and manage KPI’s to support business needs Management of supplier purchase orders from creation to invoice Materials control/stock level management Ensure suppliers deliver product to agreed delivery dates, quantity and price Progress and manage urgent requests when necessary Supporting and dealing with problems raised by suppliers Adhere to Health and Safety procedures The Ideal Candidate will have: Previous experience as a Buyer or a similar purchasing role in a Manufacturing and fast-moving production industry Experience in buying copper would be ideal but not essential MCIPS experience – preferred but not essential Experience in global procurement Experience working with Excel and MRP software and analytical data Experience in dual procurement to reduce risk to business continuity Excellent proven negotiation and cost reduction skills Excellent communication skills both written and spoken Experience making decisions to meet KPI’s and targets Experience in BOM creation If this role is of interest, please contact Louisa Ellis By submitting your CV to Tailor Made Sourcing Ltd you are consenting to Tailor Made Sourcing Ltd providing you with recruitment services as an agency defined under the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and authorising Tailor Made Sourcing Ltd to work seek on your behalf.
