Manufacturing and Packing Operators Role: 6 month fixed term contract, full-time Shift Pattern: Various options, please see below Location: Barnstaple, Devon Salary: £23,500 (pro rata, including shift allowance) Background: Accord is committed to supporting our NHS and European healthcare systems by ensuring the continued supply of high quality, lifesaving medicines for patients – where they need them and when they need them. This is particularly vital during the Covid19 pandemic. To support our critical workers in our manufacturing and packing teams, we’re looking for dedicated individuals who can are keen to help us in this challenge and are interested in joining our Operator talent pool. The Role: We’re seeking people to support the production and packing of our generic and branded medicines, in order to deliver high quality and consistent products which meet our strict Quality Control (QC), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards. The role requires written and verbal procedures to be followed precisely and all related documentation to be completed accurately to sign-off at every stage of the work. It also needs a good level of technical competence. The clean down, maintenance and preparation of work areas and equipment (including basic machine setting and fault finding) as well as replenishment of supplies to ensure the smooth running of all operations is integral to the job. A strong safety focus is also vital with weekly safety checks undertaken to make sure that our EHS targets are met. Defects, process deviations or any other compliance issues are reported immediately. Participation in Continuous Improvement activities and team briefing programmes is a given to ensure we’re always working together safely, effectively and pushing the high standards of our work. The Person: · Previous experience in the proper use of protective clothing, manufacturing equipment and observing manufacturing / packing / EHS policies and procedures. · Experience in a highly regulated work environment would be beneficial (e.g. clean room, GMP). · Values safety and efficiency – used to proactively reporting and solving problems within the constraints of Company procedures. · Approaches work in a calm and methodical manner, with a keen eye for detail. · Comfortable working on your own initiative or in a collaborative team setting. · Good communication skills in written and spoken English. · Experience of working with basic technical and numerical information. · Good level of general health and comfortable working in an enclosed, indoor environment. · GCSE level qualification in Maths and English (equivalent to grade C or above).
