Overview
Our client, a well-established Global IT Outsourcing Organisation , are currently seeking a experience Wintel/VMware Engineer to work on a contract basis. Initially the contracts will be 2-3 months in duration and will be based at their busy and secure site in Chorley (WFH during COVID-19 Lockdown). Due to the confidentiality of our client’s work, the role requires the successful applicant to hold security clearance to SC Level or be will and able to undergo the Vetting process to achieve this. Deliver project that need an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of IT technologies Implement solutions Plan and manage tech projects Will install, config and maintain software on network servers Design and implement systems Liaise with various teams Purely project delivery focused Requirement come about as perms have moved over on to another project Will be leveraged across multiple accounts, but main account will be a defence related customer Will be 5 days a week on site, however not in the current climate Teams will be working in non-standards, so will be working over varied operating system Skills VMWare OS Skills – Not looking for pure support (no BAU), delivery focus is the main focus Understanding of AD Requirements 10 years of experience working within Wintel environments At least 5 years in project role Exposure to UNIX /Linux Analytical Self starter Exp of supporting a large VMWare estate Exp of supporting large Wintel estate
