Overview

IT / Technology Procurement Manager based in Leeds. The role, Procurement Manager - IT / Technology based in Leeds, will act as an advisor, leading project groups and procure services inline with the business unit requirements for IT Software, Systems and Technology. Develop and execute innovative procurement, sourcing strategies working with stakeholders across an array of Technology commodities, including Voice, Data, Mobile, Networks, WAN, LAN, Videoconferencing. Develop and execute innovative procurement, sourcing strategies working with stakeholders across an array of Software contract inclusive of application and new systems. Lead project on the procurement activity in a fast-paced environment, including all key steps such as strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution. Liaise with stakeholder groups to define innovative procurement activities that drive real value. Run tender exercises through OJEU, while utilising portals to advertise all contracts required. The successful Procurement Manager will have the following skills and expertise: Strong people skills that enable leadership and help to gain the confidence of stakeholders A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) MCIPS Qualified (working towards full qualification) Demonstrate ongoing commitment to achieve personal and team goals Must have public sector procurement experience of leading tenders Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills IT Procurement experience Salary: 2 Year FTC £55,000 - 70,000 pension, holiday, flexible benefits If you want to discuss this position in more detail, please call Carl Walker at Elevation Recruitment Group.
