NHS Digital - Contracts Assistant Location: Leeds City Centre Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours) Pay: £9.28ph increasing to £10.79ph This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements. Role Overview: We are currently recruiting for full time Contracts Assistant to join the Team with our client, NHS Digital based in Leeds City Centre. The role will include working as part of a flexible busy office within the Commercial Operations Team and will be managing several tasks on your own and providing Administrative support for others. Responsibilities include: Using the NHS database to obtain electronic signatures Creating contract records from (sometimes lengthy) contract documentation Ensuring new contracts and requisitions go through the correct governance and approval processes Managing the legal billing process using MS Excel and Outlook to ensure that all incoming invoices and documentation are verified and processed in a timely fashion Analysing complex data and demonstrating attention to detail Managing conflicting priorities as part of a variable and changing workload What we are looking for: Excellent organisational skills No qualifications or prior knowledge are necessary as full training will be given, however any experience of the Commercial Life-cycle or Finance would be an advantage Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and other programmes Excellent attention to detail Good written English and a good head for numbers is essential to this role Strong communication skills (verbal & written) Ability to work under pressure The successful candidate will be a good team player with a positive attitude to work, who is able to focus on complex tasks in an open plan (and sometimes noisy) environment Financial control Quick learner
