Second Line Application Software Support Analyst who has SQL / MySQL, Linux administration and a basic awareness of ITIL with excellent communication skills is required for a busy service desk with a well-established and innovative Software Development Company based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Working as the Second Line Application Software Support Analyst you will provide application support to advanced system issues using SQL / MySQL with some Linux system administration tasks. As the Second Line Application Software Support Analyst, you will be methodical, organised, have good analytical skills and be customer focussed, with a high attention to detail. The role is varied, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Configuration and Implementation Departments. DUTIES Your duties and responsibilities as the Second Line Application Software Support Analyst: Core responsibilities: Second tier triage of customer support incidents and problems Creation and implementation of data fixes System configuration - initial configuration and on-going change. Creation and maintenance of reports Application performance analysis Secondary responsibilities: Creation and maintenance of extracts/transforms Logging and testing of fixes First line triage Liaison with dev/test for bug fixes CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Customer facing – must be articulate and confident on the telephone Product knowledge – will be trained to expert level on a single product SQL / data analysis – strong (MySQL) Linux administration – competent ITIL – basic awareness IT literate - competency with desktop and mobile applications including browsers, mobiles, tablets, Microsoft Office Testing – elementary Security management - awareness Finance / corporate card experience - nice to have HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
