Overview

Position: Residential Childrens Support Worker - Permanent position Location: Liverpool - South Salary: £23,478 per annum - please note this is calculated on full time hours with an hourly rate of £9 per hour and a sleep in rate of £30 Shift Pattern: 10am till 23pm then attached sleep in staff work 7 on and off starting 10am Monday finish 10am the following Monday. Duties -Within the role of independent support worker staff you are expected to support the young person into education or employment to attend any scheduled meetings ie with social worker YOT CHAMS when necessary. You will be expected to work alongside the living plan for the young person to show progress and key areas if more support is required. Staff are expected to lead by example in terms of showing the young people how to cook clean make healthier choice within life style and also how to manage their money access GP/Dentist and any other professionals they might need. All placements are now paperless so you will need to be able to competently use the desk top to access all paperwork p&p and any other documents they might need. It is essential that all applicants have a minimum of 6 months experience working within a childrens residential setting. All successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check if not already on the update service for their offer to be formalised.
