Systems Engineer (Electronic Warfare/Radar/RF) Luton £40-55p/h (inside IR35) £42p/h PAYE Approx Job Description Our client is seeking experienced System Engineers with demonstrable capability across the engineering lifecycle, alongside a background in the design, development, and delivery of RF receiver and jamming systems installed on fast jet and UAV platforms. Skills, qualifications & knowledge Candidates will have experience of the following: Product Delivery: Experience of toolsets for configuration management and change control (e.g. Teamcenter). Capable of generating robust and complete evidence for full system requirements compliance and traceability through the engineering lifecycle. Familiar with lifecycle review processes and key measures. Technical Delivery: Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation and tailor written and verbal communication methods to be appropriate for the given audience. In one or more of the following domains: Electronic Warfare/EW, RADAR, RWR, DAS, IFF, ESM, ECM. In addition to the above candidates, will have a bias towards one (if not both) of the following: (1) Requirements Management: Able to capture accurate and clear requirements (stakeholder, system, functional, design, and subsystem). Possess good understanding of system (e.g. operational) context. Have recent working experience (ideally expertise) with DOORS toolset. Familiar with specifying environmental and EMC test requirements (2) Systems Integration & Test: Ability to create and implement test plans to correctly evaluate system design and performance against requirements. Familiar with typical EW functional subsystems (i.e. software, hardware, microwave). Experience of subsystem interoperability (functional, data bus, electrical), including interface definition and troubleshooting. Familiar with conducting environmental and EMC testing. Intrinsic job factors This is an office-based role using display screen equipment, working to tight deadlines either on a regular or ad-hoc basis with occasional travel within the UK and abroad.
