The role We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us here at 11:FS to work on Foundry, our first ledger-first flexible core banking platform. If you join us, you'll be joining an autonomous team with a focus on iterative development, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing - so we're looking for someone equally enthusiastic on these topics We know that building high performance, highly scalable, always available, fault tolerant systems is a team game, so we're also looking for someone who'll collaborate and play well with others. Lone geniuses are brilliant - just not for us. We strongly believe in growing a system rather than building it, so our architecture and infrastructure is designed to allow small bits of code to be rolled to production really fast, and really often. So we'd like to find someone with experience of Cloud based, CD type environments - someone who understands that with this awesome power comes a lot of responsibility to make sure things are done right We'd also love to find someone with great experience of schedulers like Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon and containers like Docker. Requirements Experience with Docker Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration Experience working with RESTful applications and microservices Experience with one or more of AWS, GCP, Azure Enthusiasm for CI/CD An appreciation and understanding of cyber security best practice Agile/iterative software development experience A collaborative attitude and enthusiasm for being part of a team The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-energy environment A self-starter who knows how to commit and deliver The ability to be flexible and pragmatic with technology decisions An understanding product-focussed software development i.e. principals such as minimum viable product Excellent communication skills Ability to admit it when you are wrong and learn from it Independence and self-motivation while still being able to work with others collaboratively Desire to always improve and learn new things, and share this knowledge with the team Foundry 11:FS Foundry is built from the industry-wide recognition that core banking is ready for massive disruption.
