Overview

Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Legal Cashier to join a nationally recognised business based in Leeds City Centre. The position reports directly into a supportive Finance Manager who will provide full support and training. The role is predominantly focused around managing the day to day transactions of Client Accounts and ensuring the business is compliant with current SARs. As the Legal Cashier you will be responsible for the following: Processing of Client Account payments, receipts and transfers. Performing end of day balancing procedures. Accurately posting Client Account receipts and payments. Processing BACS payments via online banking. Accurate production of cheques for Client Accounts to ensure the efficient settlement of disbursements. Investigating and resolving unidentified receipts on a timely basis. Ensuring compliance with SARs to prevent any breaches. Investigating client bank reconciliation variances. Other ad hoc duties as and when required. The ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 3 years in a Legal Cashier role (essential). Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent communication skills. Experience in dealing with Client Accounts.
