Automation Tester - Agile, JavaScript/ Java , Automation Testing, Performance testing - Sheffield - £30,000 - £35,000- Specialist Digital Consultancy The Role A Software House which specialise in digital consultancy based in Sheffield are looking for an Automation Tester (agile, JavaScript/Java, automation testing, performance testing) to join their testing team, working on cloud based, ecommerce and data analytics projects. The Automation Tester (agile, JavaScript/Java, automation testing, performance testing) will play a key role in the vision and strategy of new projects and existing ones; you will need initiative, a creative and technical mind to be able to build frameworks and test scripts. The Software Engineer in Test (agile, C#, automation testing, performance testing) must have a strong understanding and hands on experience with both manual and automation testing and be 100% confident when testing API's. As the Software Engineer in Test (agile, C#, automation testing, performance testing) you will be involved in maintaining / increasing the quality of the products and develop functional test scripts and cases throughout the varies tech stack including desktop products, and web applications (front and back end) Role Requirements: Experience with at least one language (JavaScript or Java) Manual Testing - Performance testing Automation Testing - Selenium, Katalon, Groovy Performance Testing Agile environment Desire to learn and progress in your career within a company Clear communicator Desirable Requirements: Experience with Git etc CI / CD (continuous integration / continuous delivery) Jira or similar (Task, Defect etc) Confluence of similar Non functional / performance testing The Company The company is currently looking to recruit an automation tester or even a junior dev who is looking to make the next move in their career and join their testing arm of their digital consultancy and to work on the various projects across their mobile, ecommerce, cloud & integration and data analytics projects. Eventually The company is looking to move into Live monitoring, disaster recovery and using Chaos Monkey. Given the current climate with the Covid-19 outbreak the role would be fully remote to begin with until the situation is resolved and then the automation tester would then report to the Sheffield office. Interviews will also be conducted remotely, and the salary is in the range of £30,000- £35,000.
