Overview
Senior Field Engineer - Orpington & Rochester, Kent Benefits Out of Hours Support and Company Vehicle & Fuel Experience: IT Support / Equipment & Software Installations / On-Site Support and diagnostics. A fantastic opportunity has now arisen to join our IT Support team in a mixed and varied Senior Field Engineer Support role. The successful candidate will have an advanced Help Desk background, strong skills in Hardware and Software installations, Helpdesk support experience, Strong knowledge of Microsoft based systems with emphasis on Windows desktop technologies and Windows Operating Systems at a advanced admin level and be keen to learn new technologies. You will have excellent communication skills and be flexible. The role is based from their Orpington and Rochester office and you will need a clean full UK driving license / car. MCP certification would be beneficial but is not essential. Position Overview: As the successful Senior Field Engineer you will be responsible for On Site Equipment installations and Software installations, On-Site trouble shooting and diagnostics. Maintaining the interface between customers and IT operations, ensuring service levels meet and exceed standards. You will work within a team to develop and operate systems for detecting, recording and resourcing service affecting incidents, as well as working on the management of the LAN and WAN network incidents and escalation. Essential Requirements: Experience working in a similar role, in a busy environment. Proven ability to learn new and complex hardware and software applications. Networking experience across lan’s, firewalls, routers and switches. Experience across Windows Server admin 2012-2019 and Active Directory, DNS and DHCP. Experience with Microsoft Office 365. Capable of communicating clearly, concisely and confidently with a large variety of people. Pro-active and innovative approach to problem-solving and the ability to multi-task.
