Overview

What we're looking for? The right candidate will be lone working with our service users. You will need to be proactive to deal with situations which arise and act accordingly in line with our policies and procedures. You will be able to identify and report safeguarding issues. You will be able to support in a positive non-judgemental way putting the needs of the service user first. You will need to be reliable and flexible to accommodate the needs of our service users. You will have good communications skills both verbally and in writing as you will be working closely with outside professional agencies and families. You will need to be a supportive member of our team, attending and contributing to team meetings. You will be expected to complete all compulsory training offered and further training to enhance your skills and development as a support worker. Role: You will be supporting our service users to enable them to make informed choices of how they wish to live in their own homes and to access the community for social, educational and work experiences. As a Support Worker you will support and enable people to live the life they choose You will support an individual and encourage them to make choices, to express themselves, live as independently as possible and run their own lives as much as possible Supporting people to take part in some of our amazing arts and well-being activities - from horse riding, swimming, going to the cinema, going to college and dancing. Shifts tend to be either 7am-3pm or 3pm-10pm. We can be flexible with working hours however these hours are based around the needs of the individuals that we support so may be subject to change.
