Overview

We are excited to offer a new part time position (16 Hours per week) working with a client of our in the Bromley, Kent area. Job spec below: Title: Bookkeeper Reports To : Joint Company Directors Objective : To provide Our client with an efficient and effective accounting function. Hours : Currently 16 hours per week. (Tuesday & Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm) Location : Bromley Key Responsibilities : Note: Bill Backs are the collation of expenditure undertaken by our client on behalf of their clients and re-invoiced to the clients on a monthly basis. Financial responsibility to Senior Directors, share holders. Daily Check both sterling and dollar bank accounts Keep control of all bank movements. Check the dollar account, recommend movement of funds accordingly based on US $ rate. Check all e-mails and respond accordingly Allocate expenditure to clients Check and collate team expenses and invoices received Post all invoices and expenses to SAGE, copy for bill backs Collate documents in preparation for 'bill backs' at month end Maintain regular contact with the senior Directors as required Maintain efficient filing system Run computer back up disk Monthly Finalise 'Bill backs' for various US cleints. Includes 2 copies of all documents (1 for file, 1 for back up) and an individual spread sheet for all. (Can be up to 60 pages). Produce a separate bill backs for Ireland. Send bill backs as per agreed terms e.g. electronic Convert the $ invoices which are part of bill backs to £ and enter on SAGE Raise invoices for office shared costs on the 1st of each month Raise invoices for monthly fees on the 1st of each month for each client as pertinent Raise invoices for project work undertaken as directed and approved by the Company Directors Reconcile petty cash and post to SAGE Reconcile bank statements and post to SAGE (US $ account has to be converted to £ sterling first) Reconcile 7 company credit card statements, identify items for bill backs and reconcile transactions with expenses/invoices and chase any missing items Pay employees expenses, twice monthly as required Pay HMRC - PAYE Prepare BACS run for suppliers together with remittance advices Liaise with our external accountants re salaries, check and confirm all OK, agree payslip day and pay salaries BACS 25th of the month. If 25th falls on the weekend pay Friday before VAT: Reconcile to SAGE, prepare VAT return, send electronically to HMRC Prepare management accounts (SAGE P&L and balance sheet) circa 2 months in arrears (due to late invoices) Prepare a more detailed P&L for Senior Directors US Partners funds (update s/sheet and agree to Sage) Cash flow Annually (Either tax year end or company year-end) Close all ledgers Check all items on trial balance Close completed missions down Depreciation Asset spreadsheet Prepare and submit all completed company accounts complete with back up to external accountants.
