Overview
Position: School Finance Assistant Location: London Start: Immediate Duration: Temp to Perm Salary: £15-18 per hour (circa 35k) We are working with an Independent, co-educational preparatory School for ages 4-16 which is based in a very cosmopolitan part of West London. They have an urgent opening for a Finance Assistant to assist the Bursar to ensure that all the School’s financial operations run smoothly and that the School is using its financial resources wisely. Due to the urgent nature of this role we are considering both Interim and Permanent applicants. We are looking for someone who is AAT or ACCA part-qualified who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting for a small organisation. Experience of working in a school preferred, however not essential. This is fast paced environment, so good commercial exposure would also be considered. You must have had experience of interacting with suppliers and customers. We would ideally like someone who has advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, complex formulae) along with ideally experience of Xero. The school would require you to be or become an expert user. This is a Full-Time position and you will receive 5 weeks’ holiday per annum, 4 of which to be taken over the summer holidays at a time to be agreed with the Bursar plus Public holidays which fall within term time. The hourly temp rate is based on a permanent salary of circa £35,000 per annum.
