2 x Supported Housing Officer Location: Gloucester Salary: £20,000 - £20,500 pro rata (dependent on experience) benefits Hours: 37.5 hours per week 15 hours per week About the client: Our client is an aspirational housing organisation who are embedding their new 'CARES' culture. Our client have been providing Supported Housing Services for over 25 years and Floating Support since 2003. They also provide services to around 800 individuals and families in England and Wales in more independent accommodation and continue to actively develop new initiatives and build new homes. Young Parents Service is a project to help support parents in gaining the confidence and skills to be able to move out in the community. The project is for couples and single parents with low support needs to gain the skills and experience to move into the community. They are staffed 5 days a week 9am to 5pm. Our client is looking for one full time (37.5 hours per week) and one part time (15 hours per week) Supported Housing Officer. About the role: Supported Housing Officer role is both challenging and rewarding. You will be responsible for working closely with their residents ensuring they receive psychologically informed support on a 1 to 1 basis. You will also be responsible for supporting them with managing and sustaining their tenancy, including rent and housing management alongside working with other agencies to ensure their residents get the best support and outcomes. Excellent communication and strong organisational skills are essential in this role. Requirements of the Supported Housing Officer: They are ideally looking for someone with a positive, solution focused approach with a background of working with vulnerable people in housing or a support related environment. Although this is desirable it is not essential. Your attitude, commitment and work ethic for this post is equally important to us. We have a comprehensive training and induction programme to cover gaps in technical knowledge if you've got the right value base to build on.
