Overview
A great opportunity has become available for a Linux Engineer to join a well-established hedge fund based in Central London. The company has enjoyed a good deal of success over recent years and have grown significantly its assets under management. Therefore, my client is looking to scale up the infrastructure and seeking an experienced Linux Engineer with strong networking experience to facilitate that. As a Linux Engineer, you will: Manage the global Linux estate including on-prem and cloud resources Design and build the new greenfield Linux environments Working alongside their network engineers in developing, maintaining and monitoring their global network Evangelise automation across the Infrastructure team Be an active idea generator when discussing potential problems/solutions/projects Maintaining global standards, recommending areas for improvement, and suggesting solutions Essential: Proven track record of managing Linux environment (RHEL/CentOS ideally) Strong networking skills (CCNP level experience in an enterprise network) Strong automation/scripting skills as well as configuration management using Puppet, Ansible or Chef Experience with cloud providers and CI/CD tools Desired: Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop or Spark Experience with network automation using tools such as NAPALM Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Graphana, ELK etc For more information, please submit a CV.
