The Position You will enjoy a varied role with many responsibilities supporting the procurement team. You will be an organised individual, passionate about producing work to an excellent standard, willing to invest in understanding the business and engage with staff across the various UK sites whilst maintaining excellent co-ordination ability. Key responsibilities Process work in line with agreed procedures, business rules or scripts - processing work could include making calls, answering telephone, emails, queries, taking messages Learn the procedures and understand parameters of producing a quality output Process work to the defined level of quality To resolve queries competently and efficiently, referring to Team Manager as required To schedule and prioritise allocated work on a daily basis Distribute information and when required, work to the other team members or groups Identify and suggest areas of improvement Maintain and update information held on a data base or manually Support line management on any additional admin when required Liaise with internal/external clients Ensure deadlines are met. To provide induction and on-job training of other team members at own level. Essential skills You will be a talented, bright individual who is flexible and adaptable to cope with a fast paced environment in a large organisation Able to work in a team or other structured environment Articulate and able to maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients Excellent communication and organisational skills Attention to detail The ability to work flexibly, able to respond to increased pressure of work Basic knowledge on how to use Microsoft Office and Excel and Interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks at once You will also be a very strong communicator, who actively seeks to build working relationships with peers, clients, colleagues and suppliers Self-motivation, determination and confidence Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team Procurement knowledge desirable as the role will include interaction with procurement team as part of audit process Find out more Visit the NHS SBS website and the NHS SBS LinkedIn company page.
