The Position This is an exciting time to join the team as we embark on a period of transformation into an enhanced structure with new systems and introducing a new E-marketplace for the NHS. As we drive this much-needed modernisation of the NHS back and middle office function we need someone has a strong background within IT or Data Systems to lead a diverse team in the successful management of our multiple systems in the procurement and finance areas. Key responsibilities You will operate as the nominated delivery lead for NHS SBS Integrated Procurement Services operational systems, managing the integration and flow of data between systems, managing the integrity of the data inputs to ensure meaningful data analysis, and working across IPS delivery and the wider NHS SBS business to identify opportunities for further system development to support internal and external customers. Systems used include but are not limited to: Oracle P2P GHX (cataloguing solution) Workflow management system Responsible for the delivery of the eCatalogue management service, including 4 direct reports, leading a small but growing Catalogue Management team, ensuring best practices approaches are followed Supporting the development of our systems, undertaking data governance, process improvement and managing system changes Analyse data to target key areas of improvement, including working with NHS SBS staff and customers to identify areas where the systems can reduce the need for manual intervention Working with Procurement Analytics to build spend profiles for each client across their catalogues, and develop proposals to rationalise, identify opportunities to save costs for clients (direct and indirect) and new catalogue categories. Establish a training programme for team leaders and managers within IPS to upskill basic troubleshooting knowledge. Identifying software, hardware and configurations if they are not in line with best practice and company standards, engaging with the Procurement IT Business Partner to support resolutions. Essential skills A track record of working within a systems implementation / development role, with a good understanding of key IT systems, including purchase-to-pay / ERP systems. A proven ability to deliver quickly and accurately under pressure - ability to keep a level head in a fast changing high pressured environment Strong eye for detail - 'right-first-time’ approach to delivery and content management. Communication is key - you must be confident to build relationships quickly and engage with employees and stakeholders of all levels Passionate about your analytic skills (analysis of information, interpreting and presenting findings.
