Overview
Excellent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary building services consultancy on a permanent basis in their London office. They have previously worked on major healthcare, educational, residential and commercial projects, delivering bespoke design solutions. They have over 300 employees in 13 different offices whom pride themselves on making the company different, innovative and passionate about what they do. Keen to develop principles of sustainable developments, our client strives to provide sustainable engineering solutions on all projects. The selected Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be joining their London office to work within an established Building Services team. Within the role you will be attending design and site meetings in order to control the progress of the project. You will also be performing job manager responsibilities, whilst producing specifications and condition reports etc. This role requires a broad knowledge of all issues within the current construction industry as you will be working across several sectors. Essential requirements: Dynamic individual with a strong Building Services background Experience using a variety of design software, including IES, Hevacomp, Autocad and ideally Revit MEP A degree in mechanical engineer or equivalent Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to manage a variety of projects, meeting varying deadlines Proven experience of working well with architects and contractors in order to solve problems and come up with innovative solutions Highly motivated and career driven Willing to go above and beyond to ensure project wins Extensive experience within a similar role The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards a senior level position and ideally be a CIBSE Member. You will also have a degree or HNC/D in Building Services.
