Overview

Job Description The Principal Teacher will be a member of the Management Team supporting a policy of consultative and participative management and will contribute to the school’s Improvement Plan. Although specific duties have been drawn up and are defined in this profile, they are not exhaustive and can change to suit the needs and priorities of the school. The necessity for change will be determined by the Head Teacher. Please note the appointed person shall be subject to approval by the Catholic Church in terms of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980. We are now inviting applications from Fully Qualified (GTCS) Secondary Teachers. You will assist in the delivery of the curriculum and contribute to whole school initiatives, as appropriate and will carry out the range of duties outlined in Annexe B of "A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century". Requirements GTCS It is a legal requirement for any teacher teaching in a Scottish state school to be registered with GTC Scotland, General Teaching Council (Scotland) Registration. Employment History/Foreign Police Check Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.
