Newly qualified and looking for your first senior role in industry? Group Financial Accountant Based: Earlston, Scottish Borders Full Time, Permanent £competitive Benefits Head office based and reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you’ll enjoy a broad-based accounting role, with responsibility for group financial reporting and ensuring effective controls over inventory, cash, payables, receivables and payroll cycles. With a strong focus on financial and budgetary control, plus plenty of interaction with divisional finance teams, this will involve: Cash Management – preparation of quarterly rolling cash forecasts, along with the review and subsequent distribution of the weekly Group Net Debt report. Monthly Management Accounts – providing timely Group management accounts for review and taking responsibility for UK Group Corporate Overheads. Year-End Accounts – manage detailed audit support in the UK, ensuring supporting reconciliations and records are available. Financial Controls – identifying and mitigating financial control risks, whilst also ensuring the follow-up and resolution of external audit control points. Budgeting and Forecasting – Compiling UK and Group budgets, preparing cash flow and balance sheet budgets, as well as quarterly forecasts for presentation to directors, bank and auditors. This is an ideal role for a recently qualified financial accountant who is technically minded and looking for their first senior role in industry.
