Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing Tech & Data Innovation firm, born out of a global Agency, initially as an Incubator business and now a 170 strong team in central London. As either a senior or lead Front End Engineer you’ll work with a team of developers using open source technologies, tools and delivery approaches to rapidly design and build. With an emphasis on continuous improvement, it means all team members are committed to play and reinvent the way they work, encouraging growth and improvement. Key experience for this position is commercial expertise in Angular (2nd gen), advanced OOP in Typescript and ES2018/19 and good working knowledge of application state management. To get a feel for the wider environment and Engineering practices, any knowledge of the following would be advantageous. Ideal Experience • Expertise in modern Angular experience in a production environment application state management experience • Strong vanilla Javascript skills (without frameworks) • Advanced HTML5, CSS and CSS preprocessors (Sass or Less) • Automated TDD and BDD approaches using frameworks like Cypress, Jest, Jasmine, Mocha or Chai with Protractor and Karma • Package managers (NPM or Yarn) • Webpack, Gulp or Grunt • Version control using Git (or Mercurial) with Github or GitLab • Web development with API-feed data • Progressive Web Apps (PWA) • Working in a CI / CD environment • Using containers / Docker The right sort of Engineer should bring ideas forward to help shape standards in the Chapter both architecturally and have the ability to influence technical decisions in a project. The team are a really collaborative bunch, all levels have a voice and share opinion on tech and approach. As a business, they are modern thinkers in bothy Engineering best practice and in terms of employee flexibility. Although the role is primarily office based, they are comfortable with some remote working (1-2 days p/wk) and offer flexible working hours too.
