SC Cleared Solaris Operations Engineer (Inside IR35) Contract Term: 3 months Location: Newcastle, Manchester or Blackpool Are you A Operations Engineer with strong Solaris experience? As Solaris Operations Engineer you will: Analyse, assess impact, develop documents and implement changes based on requests for change Deal with packages changes into release Understand IT Operations’ processes and how this supports the end user community Prioritise and diagnose incidents Investigate causes of incidents and seek resolution Facilitate recovery, following resolution of incidents. You’ll have: Valid SC Clearance Strong experience with Solaris – Managing and maintaining hardware and software: o M7-16 hardware & T7-1 hardware o LDOM’s o Control Domains o Service Domains o Solaris V11 & V10 o Zones (included branded) o Veritas VxVM & VFS (IIRC) o ZFS/UFS o Solaris Cluster Experience Covering all business critical technical support functions including: o OS upgrades o Patching o Disaster recovery o Security hardening o Performance monitoring and tuning o Network administration o Capacity planning o Shell script programming It would be great to also have: Experience with the following; BMC Monitoring Hands Free Installations OpsCentre vSANS and vHBAs, plus NPIV If this sounds like you, please click the link to apply and speak to one of our PSR team now.
